Form a multidisciplinary team and answer Lyon Métropole’s “International town planning consultation on the Grande Porte des Alpes area” call for tenders before 7 February 2022 to work, in 2022 and 2023, on foresight for the development of this area between now and 2050.
In order to envision what the Porte des Alpes will be like tomorrow, on 29 November 2021 Lyon Métropole launched a major international urban planning consultation in cooperation with the French government, the cities of Bron, Chassieu and Saint-Priest, the Rhone and Lyon Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (Sytral) and the Lyon Area Planning Authority (Sepal).
The aim: to provide this area with several contrasting scenarios for the future, by calling on talents from around the globe.
The "International town planning consultation on the Grande Porte des Alpes area (in the towns of Bron, Chassieu and Saint-Priest)" call for tenders
Lyon Métropole wishes to consult 3 multidisciplinary teams simultaneously on developments in the Grande Porte des Alpes area, a 1,350-hectare site located in the eastern Lyon metropolitan area spanning the towns of Bron, Chassieu and Saint-Priest.
The 3 teams selected following this call for tenders will each be called upon to offer a vision for this area, without competing with each other. They will develop contrasting medium and long-term visions and concrete avenues for the gradual redevelopment of this area over time.
This international consultation is part of a forward-looking strategic reflection process prior to operational projects, with outputs that will likely inform decision-making.
The 3 selected teams will come up with development scenarios that will be shared with academics, experts and local stakeholders in order to fuel the debate through a program of seminars, forums and interactive events.
How can you take part in this international consultation and what is the timeline?
To see the public notice, the rules and the full consultation file, and to submit your tender:
- Go to marchespublics.grandlyon.com (in French)
- Indicate reference number 21DRUE057
You have until 7 February 2022 at 5:00 p.m., Paris time - France, to submit your offer online on the marchespublics.grandlyon.com platform. Files must be submitted electronically.
The three multidisciplinary teams will be selected in mid-2022. If your team is selected, you will conduct your foresight studies in 2022-2023.
